Big Green Too Much For Pirates

Ottoville started the game strong as they held the Pirates to 2 points in the first quarter while scoring 18 in this Thursday night Putnam County League matchup at the Cove. The Pirates caught some wind under there sail in the second quarter as they tallied 11 to the Big Green 13 for a 31-13 halftime score. The Big Green left no doubt in the game in the second half as they came out and put in 28 to a single Pirate point for a 59-14 Big Green lead after 3. The Pirates won the last quarter 13-11 but it was too little as the Big Green wins 70-27.

Amber Logan lead the Pirates with 11 points (one 3 pointer) while Jade Zachrich added 8. Paige Lawhorn had 5 points (one 3 pointer), Riley Fenter 2 and Blair Tegenkamp 1.

Continental is now 1-11, 0-2 in the Putnam County League while Ottoville is 12-2 , 3-1 in the PCL. The Pirates next travel to Fort Jennings on Thursday January 14 for another PCL matchup.
