Thursday was not Continental High Girls Basketball’s night as visiting Ottoville shut them out in the first quarter and the Pirates to a 2 spot in the second. The Big Green opened the game by putting up 15 in the first quarter and followed that up by scoring 7 in the second while the Pirates put in 2 points in the second. Big Green 22-2 at half. The Pirate offense would show some life in the second half as they put up 2 in the third quarter and 5 in the fourth while the Big Green scored 14 in the later quarters. Big Green 46-9 final.
Bryn Tegenkamp led the Pirates with 6 points while Jensen Armey put in 3.
Continental falls to 2-8 (0-2 Putnam County League). The Pirates had not played since December 27 since 2 games (Crestview and Miller City) were cancelled. The Pirates will next host Patrick Henry on Tuesday. Ottoville improves to 6-7 (2-2 PCL).
