A Pirate first half goal was not enough for the defending PCL champs as they lost a nailbiter to Putnam County League Rival Ottoville. Action Monday at Ottoville saw Konnor Okuley take a pass from Westin Okuley and put it in the net for a Pirate 1-0 at the 24:43 mark. That was the lone goal for the Pirates this night. The game was scoreless the rest of the half. Pirates 1, Big Green 0.
The second half had the Big Green tie the game 10 minutes into the second half. The Big Green took the lead with 7:35 left. Big Green 2, Pirates 1 final.
Continental had 6 shots on goal to Ottoville 9. Pirate Goalie Trevor Brecht had 8 saves on the night. Continental had 3 corner kicks while the Big Green did not have any.
Continental falls to 4-3 (2-1 PCL) and will host Bryan on Thursday. Ottoville improve to 4-2-3 (1-0 PCL). Continental won the Junior Varsity game 1-0.
