On Thursday Continental hosted their last home Volleyball game of the season as they took on Ottoville in a Putnam County League Match. The Big Green came out strong and took the first game 25-16. The Pirates tried to take control of the match when they took the next two games in thrilling action 25-23 and 25-22. Pirates 2-1. The Big Green were not willing to make it a night as they took game 4 25-22 to force a deciding game 5. Game 5 went to the Big Green 15-13. Big Green 3 Pirates 2 final.
Continental was led by Tygre Troyer with 19 kill and 2 aces. Madelyn Potts had 18 kills, Catelyn Etter 15 assists, Delany Bowers 4 blocks and Annika Bowers 2 aces.
Pirates fall to 5-17 (0-6 PCL) and will play the winner of the Ottoville/Marion Local Sectional Semifinal on Thursday at Marion Local (if the Flyers win) or St Henry (if Ottoville wins). Ottoville is now 4-16 (1-5 PCL).
