The word is out — there’s just no doubt
you have a birthday due!
A little bird first spread the word,
and all the town went who, “Whooo???”
The ladies blushed and fairly gushed
with cries of “Goodness me!”
The gentlemen said “Jeepers — when?”
“By heck, it just can’t be!”
And as the story made the rounds,
Folks rubbed their chins with flustered frowns —
The calendar may say it’s so but on you,
birthdays just don’t show!*
