Tuesday saw Continental High head east on 613 to take on the MAXPrep #3 ranked Division V team Van Buren. It was all Pirates at the start as they put in the first goal with less than 3 minutes off the clock. Rhettick Bowers got the goal for the Pirates and Jackson Bidlack picked up the assist. That lead was maintained until 9 miuntes left the half when the Black Knights put in the equailizer. One-all at half. The Black Knights took their first lead with 24:32 left in the game and then added on insurances goals with 12:06 and 6:06 left. Black Knights 4-1.
Rhettik Bowers scored the goal for the Pirates while Jackson Bidlack picked up the assist.
Jayden Pitney took the loss in goal for the Pirates while making 12 saves. Van Buren had a 16-4 advantage on shots on goal and a 4-1 lead on corner kicks.
Continental falls to 6-5-2 and will travel to Riverdale on Saturday. Van Buren improves to 11-1.
