Surely by now everyone has noticed all the activity on the southwest edge of town – Continental’s new solar park. Back in April, a series of articles was submitted to the eNews but life got in the way and we weren’t able to do our part in getting the word out. Our apologies that this wasn’t published sooner – we are doing some catching up!
April 2022: The Blue Harvest Solar Park officially kicked off construction! Thank you for your support during the development of the project – we are so excited to see movement on the ground.
You have probably noticed the preliminary construction work that started a few weeks ago. Our site crews are currently grading and installing the silt fence and chain link fence, which will outline the limits of disturbance of the solar park.
We will have several EDPR construction team members as well as our contractor and subcontractors onsite throughout construction. Within the next month, crews plan to install the temporary laydown yard where the construction trailers will be located. The laydown yard will be located directly west of Road 22 and south of SR 613.
As construction progresses, we will be sure to keep you updated and do our best to work as efficiently and discreetly as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to stop by the trailers to chat with us in person or call us at 317-931-9785.
