A dominating second and third quarter put the game out of reach for the Pirates on Tuesday as host Delphos St Johns added 24 points to their lead in the middle quarters to pull away from the Pirates. A close first quarter had the Blue Jays holding a 5 point, 15-10 lead after 1. It was all Jays as they outpointed the Pirates 25-8 to take a 40-17 lead to the break. The third quarter had the Blue Jays put in 13 to the Pirates 7. Blue Jays 53-24 after three. The Jays took the fourth quarter and the game. Blue Jays 63-29 final.
Jonathon Etter led the Pirates with 15 points while Mason Rayle and Peyton Wilson added 6 each. Carson Etter scored 2 points. Jonathon Etter hit 3 3 pointers while Mason Etter made 2.
Continental falls to 0-7 and will play Arlington on Friday Dec 29 at 6:00 in the first game of the Bluffton Holiday Tournament. Delphos St Johns improves to 4-1.
