Boys 3rd, Girls 5th at PCL Track Meet

The boys portion of the PCL track meet was won by Columbus Grove with 204 points, Pandora Gilboa was second with 134 points while the Pirates took 3rd with 55 points. Continental garnered 11 points in the 400 as Jacob Williams was first (53.60) and Ty Warnement was 6th (56.80). The Pirates also placed two in the High Jump – Caleb Baker 2nd (5-9) and Adam Lawhorn 3rd (5-8) and in Long Jump Caleb Baker 3rd (18-5) and Trevor Williamson 4th (18-4.75). The Continental relay teams (Adam Lawhorn, Wade Stauffer, Ty Warnement, and Jacob Williams placed 4th in both the 4×200 meter (1:40.4) and 4×400 meter (3:54.7). Zakk Deleon placed in both the Shot Put 2nd (45-3) and Discus 5th (115-9). Dean Krendl placed 5th in the 3200 meter (11:59.5).

In the girls portion Columbus Grove was the winner with 182 points with Pandora Gilboa second with 134 points while Continental and Fort Jennings tied for fifth with 31 points. Paige Ordway led the Lady Pirates with a first in 300 meter hurdles (4602), a first in the Long Jump (15-5.75) and a third in the 100 meter hurdles (16.7). Dru Troyer place 5th in the High Jump (4-2) while the 4×200 meter relay team (Paige Lawhorn, Andrea Krendl, Briley Collier, and Kacie Quigley) placed 5th (56.4). Jaylen Armey place 6th in the 1600 meters (6:46.6)to round out the scoring.

Continental Track teams are at the Wayne Trace Relays on Monday and host Fort Jennings on Thursday.
