Bronc Busters 4H Club held their third meeting on March 5, 2015 at Clubhouse Pizza in Continental. There were 7 members, 3 cloverbuds, 2 advisors, and 4 guests present. President Taryn Homier called the meeting to order and led the club in the pledges. Secretary Katie Keller read over meeting minutes from the February 22nd meeting and after Head Advisor, Stacy Ruck, asked that the minutes be amended to include that MJ Strickler had been selected to be the President of the Cloverbud membership, those minutes were approved. Treasurer Parker Wildermuth gave the treasurer’s report and the club approved her report. Safety Officer Lexi Ordway presented her Safety Tip for the meeting.
Horse ID forms and two (Fair registration/ pre-registration) forms were distributed to the members. These forms are due back to Stacy before April 15th and May 22nd respectively. A sign-up sheet was passed around for members to choose the date they will give their Safety Speech/Demonstrations on.
Order forms for the Mother’s Day Flower Sale were distributed and all orders are due April 16th with delivery scheduled for May 6th. The club will again be selling Geraniums (available in 3 colors), Petunias (available in 4 colors), and Ferns at $17/13 inch potted plant this year.
Information on Deworming and Vaccinations was presented to the club by Stacy Ruck. Horse Royalty Forms were passed out to the members that wanted one and are due to the Extension Office by April 15th with Kelly advising that a picture is to be included with the application forms this year. Possession dates for the various species and registration / ID forms for these same species was further discussed by Stacy, along with appropriate show clothes for each species. The cloverbud members worked on their project books that Kelly found and downloaded from the South Carolina state extension site during the meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for March 22nd at 4pm at Clubhouse Pizza in Continental.
