The Jr. & Sr. High Point Awards are split into Horse & Pony and we have the pleasure of giving away 4 belt buckles. These awards are presented to the persons who, in a sense, have the most versatile horse or pony. The Jr. Divisions consists of 4-H members between the ages of 8-13; the Sr. Divisions consists of 4-H members between the ages of 14-18. Points are accumulated at two shows, our June show and the fair show. Each place in each class is worth points. It takes a horse and rider that can do just about all the classes to win. They must be competitive in Western, English, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Contesting and all other Performance classes. It takes a lot of hard work, time, and dedication to win these awards

Spirit and Determination Awards sponsored by Alvin & Cindy Stechschulte and Chris & Julie Roof is awarded to one Junior and one Senior Division member who is trying their best, regardless of where they finish in their classes.
Junior Division winner is Xander Verhoff of Pounding Hooves. Senior Division winner is Lexi Ordway of Bronc Busters.
Matt Elling Rotating Trail Trophy sponsored in Memory of Matt Elling is an award given to the Jr. Division 4-H member who receives the most points in the trail classes at the June Show and the Fair Show. Lexi Wentz of Pounding Hooves earned this Award this year.
Junior Division Outstanding Horse Skillathon Award sponsored by Knight of Columbus Council #5669 was awarded to Emily Recker of Bronc Busters.
Senior Division Outstanding Horse Skillathon Award sponsored by Northwest Tractor Company of Ottawa was awarded to Kiana Gable of Bronc Busters.
Sportsmanship Award sponsored in Memory of Matt Elling, Renea Patton, and Brad Wentz. The award is given to the horse member who also displays good sportsmanship throughout the entire 4-H year and the fair. This year it was awarded to Parker Wildermuth of Bronc Busters.
Renea Patton Contesting Memorial Award sponsored in Memory of Renea Patton is given to the Jr. 4-H member who receives the most points in the contesting classes at the June Show and the Fair Show. This award is in loving memory of Renea Patton and was awarded to Larkin Felkey of Pounding Hooves.
Luttfring Contesting High Point Awards are given to the exhibitor who has accumulated the most overall points in all the contesting classes during fair. There is a Grand and Reserve presented to both Senior and Junior divisions.
Luttfring 1st Year Member High Point Contestor Award sponsored by Bob & Jackie Luttfring. It is given to a first-year exhibitor who has accumulated the most points in all the contesting classes during fair This year it was awarded to Haley Meyer of Pounding Hooves.
Luttfring Junior Division Reserve Champion sponsored by Bob & Jackie Luttfring was awarded to Lexi Wentz of Pounding Hooves.
Luttfring Junior Division Grand Champion sponsored by Bob & Jackie Luttfring was awarded to Larkin Felkey of Pounding Hooves.

Luttfring Most Improved Contester Award is given to an exhibitor who is felt has greatly improved from one year to another with their contesting skills. This was awarded to Parker Wildermuth of Bronc Busters.
1st Year Member High Point Award sponsored by Tom & Tara Hilty. This award is given to a 1st year member who has accumulated the most points in the 1st year fair classes only. This year it was awarded to Sophia Hilty of Pounding Hooves.
Versatility Show sponsored by Mike & Marge Kosch. To be eligible in this class the participants had to have placed in Western or English Showmanship, Western Horsemanship or English Equitation. The Versatility class consists of 4 classes. They are English Equitation, Western Horsemanship, Reining, and Barrels. The classes are placed 1st through 10th. After all the classes are over, they tally the points (10 points for 1st, 9 for second and so on) and the person who has the most points wins the event. Versatility Results: 10th place – Sophia Hilty, 9th Place – MJ Strickler; 8th Place – Katie Keller; 7th Place – Stephanie Berger; 6th Place – Erica Horstman; 5th Place – Lexi Wentz; 4th Place – Maranda Berger; 3rd Place – Samantha DeMuth; 2nd Place – Samantha DeMuth; and 1st Place – Claire Kreischer
