Due to the weather, Bronc Busters postponed their April 19 Community Service Project and moved their meeting indoors to Clubhouse Pizza where there were 9 members, 3 advisors, and 4 guests in attendance. President Taryn Homier called the meeting to order and Christian Keller led the club in the Pledges. Secretary Katie Keller read the previous meeting minutes and did roll call. Health Officer Kiana Gable shared the health tip of “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Safety Officer Lexi Ordway shared the safety tip of “Don’t ride your bike without steering it.”
The floor was then opened up to Old Business and the following items were discussed:
• The Club’s Constitution and Bylaws were accepted and approved by the members and advisors.
• Stacy collected outstanding Release of Responsibility and Horse Disclosure forms.
• Kelly distributed the project books to the members.
• Stacy collected flower orders and members were reminded that the flowers will be delivered May 6th to her house.
• The community service project has been tabled until after the first clinic, due to the weather.
• T-shirt prices were discussed and final decision tabled until the next meeting.
• Kiana Gable gave a safety speech titled “Wearing Helmets when Riding Horses” and Lexi Ordway also gave a safety speech titled “Boating Safety”.
The floor was then opened up to New Business and the following items were discussed:
• Members, parents, and advisors are encouraged to sell and/or buy Gun Raffle and Shoe/Boot Rack Tickets from the Horse Council to support their arena footing fundraiser.
• All were also encouraged to purchase Chicken BBQ tickets to support the 4H Council’s fundraiser.
• Stacy distributed entry forms for Fair and PAS and advised all members these forms are due to her May 17.
• Stacy shared with the club that the Horse Council is hosting a Ranch Pleasure Clinic on May 20th at the fairgrounds and there will be a $5 fee to audit the clinic and a $15 fee to ride in the clinic.
• Due to the Horse Council having scheduled a meeting at the arena on April 23, the club clinic scheduled for that day has been cancelled.
Bronc Busters will hold their next meeting and first clinic on April 26 at 2pm at the Fairgrounds.
