On Monday, Taron Butler and Trevor Brecht not only had the two longest jumps in the Long Jump at the Wayne Trace Relays they also set a meet record. Bulter jumped 19’7.57″ while Brecht jumped 18’8.5″ for a combined 38’4.25″ record. That was the lone first place finish but the Boys track team also had 3 second place efforts in the 4×800, the Sprint Medley and the Discus Relay. A pair of third place finishes were also had by the Pirates in the Pole Vault Relay and the Shot Put Relay. On the Girls side five fourth place finishes were made by the Pirates. Ayersville took first in the five team Girls event with 102 points while Paulding was second with 94 points. Continental finished fifth with 20 points. Wayne Trace took the Boys portion of the meet with 100 points while Paulding was second with 80 points. Continental finished fifth with 58 points. Wayne Trace, Ayersville, Kalida, Paulding, and Continental made up the field. On Thursday Continental hosts Kalida and Fort Jennings in a tri meet that is also Senior night.
