Summertime is approaching and the Junior Gardeners are looking forward to the growing season! The Junior Gardeners meet one day a week (usually Mondays) for an hour or two. The children plant flowers at the park and at local businesses to spruce up our community. They will also be planting a vegetable garden, learning about and tasting some new varieties of veggies. There will also be crafts and field trips. There is no cost for the children to participate. Last year was a fantastic time with lots of fun making new friends and helping to beautify our community — we are excited about 2016!
If you would like to join the Jr. Gardeners, contact Charlene at 419-596-4302. They will be meeting after school on Monday, May 16th at the Continental American Legion to plant flowers for the Memorial Day program. Everyone is welcome!
