Carolyn Mae Dimock, age 79 of Napoleon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 under Hospice of Henry County at The Lutheran Home in Napoleon, Ohio. She was born on October 3, 1936 in Pleasant Bend, Ohio to Herman and Bessie (Hoffman) Steingass. On November 13, 1965 she married Edward Dimock and he survives.
She began working at Foster Canning, Inc. in Napoleon, Ohio in 1954 where she was an administrative assistant until retiring in 1996. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and taking casino trips. She also enjoyed being an active participant of the Lenawee County 4-H animal auctions during the 4-H years of her grandchildren. Carolyn was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon Twp.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and friend, Kelly Jo (Matthew) Carpenter of Adrian, Michigan, her favorite grandson Jacob David of Adrian, Michigan and favorite granddaughter Abby Jo of Adrian, Michigan with special friend Ben Vittore, Britton, Michigan. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert (Patricia)Steingass, Glenn (Janet) Steingass both of Leipsic, Ohio, a sister Diane (Michael) Greer of Ottawa, Ohio, many nieces and nephews and a special niece and caregiver who was like a daughter, Kimberly Busser of Ottawa, Ohio.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, brother, David and sister, Patsy both in infancy.
At Carolyn’s request there will not be a visitation.
