Helen Stateler, 92, formerly of Continental, Ohio, has been busy crocheting baby hats. Thirty nine hats of various sizes were donated to St Rita’s Hospital Mother and Baby unit.
She got started on this project when her daughter Judy Kent of Lima was asked to start making hats for a charity. Helen needed something to work on so she thought she would help. Helen enjoys making these baby hats, saying it is relaxing, keeps her mind active, and at the same time keeping those new babies heads warm.
Helen and the late Nyle Stateler were the owners of The Continental News Review/Curtiss Show Print in Continental, Ohio. She currently resides at The Meadows of Kalida.
