Continental High Girls Soccer season ended with Evergreen defeating them 3-2 in a OHSAA Division III Evergreen District Sectional Final game. The Pirates season ended at 11-6. Evergreen could not hold onto the home field advantage and lost to #1 seeded Archbold 1-0 in overtime. Archbold advanced out to the Evergreen District with a win over #3 seed Swanton. Going into the Regionals, Archbold had over allowed 8 goals (2 of which was scored by the Pirates in regular season. Miller City and Continental were placed in the Evergreen District, the rest of the Putnam Count League was placed in the Ottoville District. Spencerville advanced out of the Ottoville District with a 2-1 double overtime win over Putnam County League Champ Kalida. Archbold and Spencerville met in a Regional Semifinal at Defiance where Archbold prevailed 2-0. The other half of the Regional was played at Perrysburg where Liberty Benton took out Eastwood 1-0- in double overtime. The Blue Streaks season would come to an end in the Regional Finals at Lake with Liberty Benton taking the 2-1 victory.
Liberty Benton will take on Kirkland in one state Semifinal on Tuesday while Columbus Academy will take on Cincinnati Country Day in the other Semifinal. State finals will be held on Saturday November 9 at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus.
