MAVERICK GRANT—As a junior, Maverick attends Vantage Career Center and still finds time to participate in the drama department. He has been part of The Play That Goes Wrong, Cafe Mocha Murders, Footloose, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Sweeney Todd, Tarzan, The Mikado, and Annie. He is the son of Amber Grant and Andy Grant.
Maverick’s favorite move is Love Simon. He enjoys sewing and beading outfits.
Maverick’s favorite song from Godspell is All For the Best. You can hear Maverick’s favorite song, plus many others, at the Continental Drama Department’s performances of Godspell on Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22 at 7:00 pm, and on Sunday March 23 at 2:30 pm.
Godspell is a musical about a small group of people helping Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.
