Sophomore Sam Lowe is the daughter of Stan and Angela Lowe. “Eclipse” is the second time she has appeared on stage, having had a part is last spring’s production of “Godspell.” She first became involved with the drama department when she worked lights for the play “The Miraculous Adventures of Edward Tulane.” Sam’s other activities include concert band, marching band, and choir. She enjoys acting because she gets to be with people with the same interests, and “it’s a lot of fun.” When not involved with school or extra-curricular activities, Sam enjoys listening to British rock group The Smiths.
May 10, 1994: A lunar eclipse’s path of totality sweeps across the United States, and Americans of all kinds look to the future for love, success, a first shot, a second chance, and more. In a series of sweet and hopeful snapshots, a teenager works up the nerve to talk to their crush, a window washer feels inspired by Romeo and Juliet, a Radio Shack customer discovers new technology, and an amateur investigator looks for signs of alien life. Each character is changed by the once-in-a-generation eclipse, a reminder of our connection to the cosmos and each other.
Eclipse will be presented at the Irene Casteel Auditorium on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 at 7 pm with a matinee on Sunday, November 9 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and junior/high school students, and $5 for all others, and will be available at the door.
