
This is the second time Delaney has been named student of the month, and she is the first CHS student to achieve this honor.
The staff members at Continental recognize Delaney for her outstanding character traits – she is accountable, confident, responsible, respectful, caring, and courageous. Delaney has integrity. She is first in the senior class with a 3.85 GPA. She was the captain of the volleyball team and set school records for kills in a career (725), kills in a season (292), and aces in a career (132). Delaney was named to the first team in the Putnam County League and the second team for the district. Delaney took a leadership role for our Volley for the Cure benefit, contacting local businesses for donations.
Delaney is a member of the National Honor Society (President), student council (Vice President), and FCCLA (Vice President of Finance). She was a cheerleader and played club volleyball. She was Homecoming queen this basketball season, and she also works on the yearbook. She is currently taking six College Credit Plus classes and has taken several others in previous years.
In the Continental community, Delaney works at Huey’s. She participates in Coffee with Jesus.
Delaney has been accepted to Bowling Green State University, where she plans to study nutrition and dietetics.
