CHS Girls Soccer Add a Win and a Tie to Their Record

Lady Pirates 1, Botkins Trojans 1
Tuesday had Continental Girls Soccer travel to Botkins Where the MAXPrep Poll DV #18 taking on the #14 Trojans.  The Pirates controlled the action and got a goal from Morgan Dockery which the Trojans matched.  Pirate Goalie Mackenzie Niese stopped a Trojan penalty kick to preserve the tie.
From Coach Bidlack: Our Player of the Game goes to Mackenzie Niese for her great play in the back and coming up big with a penalty kick save!
Morgan Dockery scored for the Pirates. Mackenzie Niese was the Pirates goalie and made 2 save.  The Pirates had a 7-3 advantage on shots on goal and 4-2 on corner kicks. ThePirates are now 8-3-3 and will host Ottoville on Thursday.  Botkins is now 9-4-2.

Thursday night a first half goal by the Pirates was all host Continental needed to even their record in the Putnam County League against Ottoville.  Pirate Ella Siefer hit the back of the net in the first half putting the Pirates up 1-0.  That was the only score of the night as the Pirates held on for the 1-0 win.

Mackenzie Niese picked up the shutout win in goal for the Pirates.  Continental had a 9-0 advantage on shots on goal and a 4-3 lead on corner kicks. Continental improves to 9-3-3 (2-2-0 PCL) and will travel to Kalida on Tuesday for another PCL game.  Ottoville falls to 5-7-2 (1-2 PCL).
