After zero in the win column in the 2023-24 season, things should be looking up for the Continental High Girls Varsity Basketball and they have a good mix of Seniors and Juniors (5) and Sophomore and Freshmen (8). Leading the way back for the Pirates this year is Junior Olivia Crossgrove who was Putnam County League Honorable Mention averaging 3.9 ppg and being a force on the boards. Other returning Pirates are Senior Ashlyn Dudgeon who scored 40 for the Pirates, Sophomore Morgan Shock scored 36, Junior Ella Siefer scored 21 and Senior Becca Stark scored 11. Senior Ava Sheeter added 45 for the Pirates last year. The Pirates start the season with a favorable schedule with 5 home games. The Pirates are coached by Damon Schmidt, assisted by Jessica Vennekotter and Brandon Schmidt. John Spitnale is the Junior Varsity coach. Good Luck Pirates in 2024-25.
