Last month, the ladies at Christ UMC discussed what to do about their 1st Wednesday Lunch falling only two days before their annual Basement Sale as part of Continental’s Community Garage Sales. They decided to have a great lunch on Wednesday, May 7th and anyone who comes can shop at the garage sale “early bird” style! It won’t be fully set up, but there will be room to have the lunch and some of the sale items available at the same time – all basement sale items are by donation!
The lunch menu on Wednesday, May 7th is: Spaghetti, Chicken (turkey) Alfredo, garlic bread, assorted salads and desserts. Cost is by donation, serving starts at 11:30, dine-in or carry-out. All lunch proceeds go directly to our local food pantry. All are welcome!
On Friday and Saturday, the basement will be full of gently used items available “by donation”. DVDs, clothes, shoes, books, kitchen items, holiday decor and so much more! They will also be selling sloppy joes, shredded turkey sandwiches, chips, pop & water. Stop by, there is something for everyone!
