The OHSAA Division IV Elida District has five Putnam County League teams, two from the Northwest Conference, two from the Midwest Athletic Conference, one each from Northwest Central Conference, Green Meadows Conference, and Independent. Continental was in this District last year along with Crestview, Fort Jennings, Lincolnview, Ottoville, Parkway, Delphos St Johns, and Wayne Trace. New to the District are Kailda and Miller City from the Liberty Benton DIV District, Lima Temple Christian from the Wapakoneta DIV District, and Lima Central Catholic from the Lima Senior DIII District. Gone from the Elida District are Antwerp, Ayersville, and Hicksville now moved to the DIV Napoleon District. Crestview advanced to Regionals from the Elida District last year.
Elida District Sectional games are held at Van Wert and Paulding on February 26, 27 and March 1. District games are scheduled for March 5 and 8.

The rest of the Putnam County League teams (Pandora-Gilboa, Columbus Grove, and Leipsic) are in the Findlay District. The Findlay District is populated with current and former Blanchard Valley Conference teams. Findlay District sectional games are being hosted by Van Buren and Bluffton University. Pandora Gilboa advanced from the Findlay District and made it to the State Final Four.
Other tournament notes: Ottawa Glandorf will not be hosting any boys games this year. Miller City will host a DIII sectional in the Lima Senior District (Ottawa-Glandorf plays in this District). Elida is the other DIII Sectional host site.
