
At the Continental Local Schools’ February Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, 2/17, the board approved Tracy Potts as Elementary Principal. Potts was issued a three year contract effective August 1, 2015.
Tracy is a 1987 CHS graduate and received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Bowling Green State University in 1991 and a Masters in Education from the University of Findlay in 1997. She also completed her Educational Leadership training at the University of Findlay in 2014.
Potts has 24 years of teaching experience in special education. Her career at Continental began in 1995 when she worked for the Putnam County Educational Service Center as the Early Education of Handicapped teacher in the Continental Elementary preschool program. Tracy was hired by Continental as a high school intervention specialist in 2001.
Mrs. Potts has mentored many athletes in supplemental contract positions at Continental including: Coaching Middle school girls track, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading, Junior varsity volleyball and high school cheerleading.
Mrs. Potts added, “As a graduate and life-long resident of Continental, I am honored to be given the opportunity to be an administrator in the Continental Local School District. As an educator, I believe that all children can learn and it is the job of educators to help children grow academically and socially. I have a vested interest in Continental’s mission and philosophy of education and I look forward to serving the community as the elementary principal.”
