The 2022-23 Continental High Boys Varsity looks to improve on last years 7-16 record. The Pirates 2021-22 season ended when the #11 seeded Pirates were ousted by #6 seed Ottoville. The Big Green would be ousted in the DIII Elida Regional Semifinals. This season the Pirates bring back their leading scorer and a 4 year starter. Senior Konnor Knipp Williams led the Pirates with 232 points last year while Senior Rhenn Armey will be back for his fourth year as point guard. Armey scored 75 points for the Pirates. That is it for the Pirates Seniors. A trio of Juniors who got Varsity experience for the Pirates are back. Carson Etter scored 28 points last year, Mason Rayle 24 points and Jonathon Etter 16 points. Two Freshmen Monty Rayle and Brady Thomsen will be battling for playing time this year.
The Pirates opened their season Friday against Paulding. The Pirates are coached by Scott Keck, assisted by Nathan Schmidt and Rob Zimmerman. Damon Schmidt is the Junior Varsity coach.
