On October 5, 2018, a letter was sent out to Huntington customers informing them that their branch in Continental will close on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. This topic was discussed at the October 9th Village Council meeting and the Village will be working with the Putnam County CIC to attract another financial institution to Continental.
Update: The Village Council announced that the Fort Jennings State Bank will be adding a Continental branch and will be in a temporary location by next month.
