Continental and Christ United Methodist churches celebrated Homecoming Sunday this past weekend. Special services were held at each church in the morning with combined events in the afternoon. At 4pm, Christ UM Church on South Main opened their new Pickle Ball court for all to enjoy. All ages enjoyed playing this easy to learn game (Dorothy W. – you were great!). The Pickle Ball court is open to everyone. If you see someone playing in the parking lot, stop and join them. Pickle Ball is a family sport as many of us older players who were unfamiliar with the game learned that our kids/grandkids are playing pickle ball in gym – they were teaching us! Another way to learn the rules of the sport is to google it – there are several Youtube videos explaining the game also. The congregation hopes everyone will enjoy the portable pickle ball court!
