CAMREN BURGEI—the son of Craig and Angie Burgei, Camren is a junior at Continental High School. He is a familiar face on the Continental Drama Department stage, having performed in Harvey, Footloose, The Play That Goes Wrong, Tarzan, Cafe Mocha Murders, Seussical, Newsies, and the Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
Camren is also involved in numerous extra-curricular activities, including soccer, track, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl, Concert Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Putnam County Honors Band, 4-H, and Esports. He is also a server for his church. His favorite movie is Star Wars, and Camren can also play piano.
Camren’s favorite song from Godspell is All for the Best. You can hear Camren’s favorite song, plus many others, at the Continental Drama Department’s performances of Godspell on Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22 at 7:00 pm, and on Sunday March 23 at 2:30 pm.
Godspell is a musical about a small group of people helping Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.
