Dear Incoming 12th Grade Parent,
As a reminder, all incoming 12th graders for the 2025-2026 school year are required to have two
doses of Meningitis vaccine for entry into 12th grade.
The required Meningitis vaccine is MCV4. It protects against four strains of Meningitis (A, C,
W, Y). This vaccine was required when your child entered the 7th grade also.
Other important vaccines to include are:
HPV (Human Papillomavirus) – three dose series protects against HPV disease.
• 4 out of 5 unvaccinated people will get HPV in their lifetime
• Protects males and females against related cancers and genital warts.
Meningitis B – two dose series protects against one additional strain (B) of Meningitis.
• This vaccine protects against the other common strain of Meningitis in the US
