Part-Time High School Paraprofessional Aide
Continental Local School has an opening for a part-time paraprofessional aide who will be working with an intervention specialist. This position is five hours per day, 183-days per year.
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma.
•Paraprofessional Educational Aide License Issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
•Must have patience and an interest in working with special needs students in grades 7-12.
•Must be able to work well with and maintain the confidentiality of students, staff, and parents.
Duties:
•Provide support to the academic program and instructional activities under the guidance of the assigned intervention specialist(s).
•Assists in supervision of students throughout the day.
•Assists the students(s) in the classroom and as needed with behavior management, and/or physical tasks such as using materials or equipment.
•Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.
•Supervise students in a resource room setting including but not limited to reading of tests/quizzes/assignments, help students with homework, prepare students for tests/quizzes, and help with general organizational skills.
