The regular meeting for the Continental School Board was held at 6:00 p.m. on May 17, 2022 in the administration
office. The meeting was called to order by board president Dean Bidlack, who opened the meeting with the Pledge of
Allegiance.
Hearing of the Public:

Twenty-four adults shared their professions with the students. Grades 4-6 were split into groups of 5-6
students and they rotated around the cafeteria to learn about 12 different careers. Students in grades K-3
stayed in their classrooms and learned about four careers. I would like to thank Mrs. Schmidt for organizing
the event. I would also like to thank the community members for sharing their knowledge with our students.
•Thank you Denali Hiltner and her family for providing ice cream for the entire school.

all other requirements completed in order to qualify for the graduation ceremony.
•Graduation rehearsal will be on Friday (this is a requirement for seniors to participate in the graduation

•Next Wednesday is the last day of school for students; Thursday is the last day for teachers/staff.
•Last Thursday, the JH and HS students participated in our annual Community Service Day. This has
become a tradition to spend time during the spring going out into the community and doing our part to clean
things up and say “thank you” to the community for all of their support. I would like to thank the faculty and
staff for their efforts and give a special shout out to Damon Schmidt, Allison Schmidt, and Nathan Schmidt for
their hard work in planning and leading this event.
•Prom was a huge success! Thank you to Mrs. Army and the Junior class for planning a great event and to
the Legion for donating the use of their hall. Post prom was also very successful and I want to thank all of
the junior parents for their hard work and dedication to provide a safe environment for our students to hang
out after the dance.
•We held our Academic Awards Assembly last Friday afternoon. The Class of 2022 earned just over
$1,248,000 in scholarships, grants, and aid to further their education or receive training for their future jobs
and careers.
•I want to thank the students, parents, faculty, and staff for another successful year! It’s hard to believe the
end of school is upon us. In the hustle and bustle of the year we sometimes lose sight of all the good things
that our students and staff have accomplished, but as we reach the end of the year and can be a little more
reflective I hope that everyone feels as good about this year as I do. It’s been fast, but I believe it’s been a
good year for the school and I look forward to building on our successes next year!
