The regular meeting for the Continental School Board was held at 6:30 p.m. on July 15, in the administrative office. The meeting was called to order by Board President Dean Bidlack, who opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Board:
•heard the transportation report.
• heard the bus inspection was held on June 26, 2026.
•heard the Superintendent update.
•congratulated Sarah Baughman for being selected to participate in the 2026-2027 Fostering Stem Institute: Teacher Edition. This year-long program is designed specifically for classroom educators who are committed to strengthening STEM teaching and learning. Throughout theprogram, she will collaborate with educators from across the state to deepen instructional practice and strengthen STEM culture and pedagogy in the classroom and school community.

•Brian Donaldson gave the Vantage Career Center report.
SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATION
The Board:
•appointed Superintendent Eding as the ADA Coordinator.
•accepted the purchase of a 72-passenger propane bus from Cardinal Bus Sales at a purchase price of $151,260.
•approved the agreement with Wood County Educational Service Center.

•approved Gage Hoehne, Elliott Kosch, Debara McIntyre, and Nathan Schmidt as Continental School van drivers and issue driving certificates for the 2026-2027 school year, upon receipt of all satisfactory paperwork.
•approved the following as a temporary substitute teacher who does not hold a post-secondary degree, as is otherwise required pursuant to Ohio law and regulations, including Ohio Revised Code 3319.226 and 3319.30, Ohio Administrative Code Section 3301-23-44, and/or Board Policy3120.04 -Employment of Substitutes, during the 2026-2027 school year. This is pending satisfactory background checks, if applicable, as well as a valid non-renewable temporary substitute teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education to serve as a substitute teacher.
