On Tuesday, December 9th, thirty-plus people enjoyed the Continental Senior Connections’ Christmas Party and Cookie Exchange at the American Legion. The Continental High School Choir, led by Mrs. Alvarado, entertained the group with Christmas carols. A huge thank you to them for making the party more festive! A special thank you to Sherry for decorating the hall so beautifully! Everyone went home with a large assortment of cookies, candies and snacks from the exchange. A delicious lunch prepared by the Canteen staff followed by a leisurely time of visiting and sharing was enjoyed by all!
The next Senior Connections meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 13 at 11:30 in the small hall at the Legion. Lunch will be “order off the menu” followed by our featured speaker, Mike Rush. Mike is the Ohio Northern University Healthwise Assistant Clinical Professor. A new service offered to our community starting in February is the Ohio Northern University Healthwise Mobil Health Clinic. Mike will be sharing information about the monthly mobil clinic visits to Continental and also will have the mobil clinic on-site for tours during our January meeting. This is an exciting addition for our community and we hope lots of people will turn-out to hear more about what services the mobil clinic is able to offer.
