On Tuesday, February 10th, 25 seniors gathered in the Small Hall at the American Legion to lunch & learn with Continental Senior Connections! There was a Valentine’s Day atmosphere as Deb Harvitt of Findlay, our guest speaker, gave us all tips on how to tackle the clutter in our homes. Deb, of “De-Clutter with Deb”, has been in the decluttering business for 26 years and her services can be found on Facebook. In addition to teaching classes, Deb also arranges estate sales for that final decluttering process. We all left the meeting inspired to tackle those closed off rooms in our homes!
The Ohio Northern University’s Healthwise Mobile Health unit was set up in the Legion parking lot. Several seniors ventured out to the bus for A1C readings, blood pressure checks and one signed up as a patient since our local medical practice has closed. This mobile service is open to all ages in the surrounding area and comes to Continental on the second Tuesday of each month from noon to 2pm.
Myra Parrett from Putnam County Homecare & Hospice will be our speaker on Tuesday, March 10th. We hope you’ll join us to hear about the services they offer in our county.
