Come & join us! Continental Senior Connections will be holding their May gathering on Tuesday, May 12 at 11:30 in the Small Hall at the American Legion. Our guest speaker is Tess (Homier) Salisbury. Tess is a Professor and Social Work Program Director at Defiance College. Her topic will be “Creating Dialogue for Senior Life Changes.” For the senior community, life changes can happen in an instant such as a stroke or an accident, and we should all be prepared for what our options are. Making your wishes known now will hopefully make for a better outcome for all involved. Please feel free to bring your future caregivers with you – that would be a great way to start the dialogue!
There will also be a share table – bring your gently used, no longer needed items for others to take. No medications! If its left on the table at the end of the meeting, please take it back home. The Mobile Medical Clinic from Ohio Northern University will be in the parking lot – be sure to stop in check them out. Our June 9th gathering will feature a speaker from the Putnam County Extension Office to share container gardening tips.
Senior Connections is open to all. There are no age limits or residency requirements. Bring your group of friends or family, order off the menu for lunch and listen to some great speakers!
