Continental Senior Connections held their August meeting on Tuesday, the 12th at the Continental American Legion. Kathy Amstutz from the Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) was our guest speaker. She shared the many ways this organization assists those in our county who have been diagnosed with cancer. CAP helps by providing reimbursement for such things as perscription expenses related to treatment, mileage to and from treatments, supplies (nutritional supplements, wigs & medical supplies) and more. There are no income guidelines, it is simple to apply for and completely confidential. Putnam County CAP is a non-profit service that is funded through donations, memorials, the United Way and other fundraisers. To learn more about this great organization, visit www.pccap.org.
