Continental Senior Connections Met January 13th

January 13, 2026 by Adam Donaldson

Twenty-four seniors gathered for the January 2026 meeting of the Continental Senior Connections at the American Legion. Karen Donaldson shared upcoming local events and county-wide opportunities offered through the Putnam County Council on Aging, the Soil & Water Conservation District and the Putnam County District Library. Our featured speaker was Mike Rush, Director of Ohio Northern University’s HealthWise Department. The Mobile Health Clinic will be set up on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Continental American Legion parking lot from noon to 2:00pm. Mike shared the wide-range of services the mobile clinic can offer to our community – medications, blood pressure checks, basic labs, vacinations, full physicals and much more. A Mercy Health (Lima) medical doctor and ONU students work together in the clinic. Results can be sent to your doctor and also to MyChart. There is no co-pay for their services. Insurance may be billed but no one is turned away for inability to pay. For more information, visit www.onu.edu
