Continental Stays D-IV in Volleyball

OHSAA announced on Thursday the divisional assignments for spring sports. Continental will play in D-IV along with all the other Putnam County League teams. Continental has an enrollment number of 58 (50 students + 8 corrective balance). Ottoville has the smallest enrollment number with 44 (42 +2) of the PCL schools (note Fort Jennings does not field a Volleyball team). Columbus Grove has the largest enrollment number with 109 (108+1). Other PCL enrollment numbers are Miller City 56 (54+2), Kalida 67 (66+1), Pandora 57 (55+2), and Leispic 91 (70+21)

The largest enrollment figure in D-IV is 114 shared with 7 schools. Hicksville is the only school on the Pirate schedule at that number. The smallest D-IV school is Ironton St Joseph Central with an enrollment number of 15 (14+1).

Newcomerstown, Columbiana, Hopwell Loudon, Hicksville, Houston, Patrick Henry, and Fayetteville Perry all moved down from D-II. Akron Our Lady of Elms, East Canton, Andrews Osbourne Academy, Bluffton, Bellaire, Berne Union, Cincinnati Country Day, Fort Frye, and Parkway moved up to D-III.
