The Putnam County Optimist Club has chosen Harlee Rubey to receive the October Character of the Month Award. Harlee is a junior at Continental High School and was nominated by Maria Martinez, the Librarian & Digital Learning Coordinator. Harlee has been her aid since the beginning of the school year. Here are a few things Maria had to say about Harlee in her nomination: “Harlee is a hard-working young lady”, “Harlee is not a girl who wants to be seen, but would rather be of help behind the scenes”, “Harlee looks at a negative situation and can help turn it into a positive one.” Harlee is the daughter of Charles and Deanna Rubey.
