Data is showing that there has been a significant increase of COVID cases in Putnam County. Last week (11-7 thru 11-13), Putnam County saw more cases (189) than was seen in the first week of January (181). Please take measures to help reduce this trend!
It is important to note that if you are positive for COVID, it may take several days before a contact tracer attempts to contact you. Contact tracers from the state and county are working to reach you as soon as possible. However, it can be days before we receive the report from labs and, because of the high volume of cases, it can be another day or so before a call is made. If you do not answer the call, the contact tracer attempts to leave a message asking you to return the call (sometimes this is not possible due to full mailbox, voicemail not set up, etc.) In the meantime, if you are positive, please begin isolation and remain in isolation until symptoms improve and it has been at least 10 days since your symptoms began.
We ask that if you choose to comment on this post, please be respectful of others. Thank you.
