
Tuesday saw a boys soccer game where one was looking for win 1 and another was looking to establish a winning record. Continental High Boys Soccer saw the record move to the positive side as they picked up win 4 in 5 games while host Cory Rawson is still looking for win 1. The Pirates started off the game with Jackson Bidlack scoring an unassisted goal just under 4 minutes into the game. 9 minutes into the game Rhettik Bowers hit the back of the net off a Collin Davis pass. Pirates 2-0. Less than 3 minutes later the Pirates took a 3-0 lead when Bidlack picked up goal 2 and Collin Davis got an assist. The Pirates Davis put in a pair of goals in 1:19 stretch when he scored with 19:18 left in the half and again with 17:59. Keenan Bowers and Rhettik Bowers both got credit for an assist. Pirates 5-0 at half. The second half saw the Pirates add 2 more goals in the first 8 minutes of the half. Davis picked up the hat trick with goal 3 with 37:57 left with Bain Stegbauer getting the assist. Tyson Clementz scored with 32:09 left with Hunter Varner getting the assist. Pirates 7-0.
Collin Davis led the Pirates with 3 goals and an assist. Jackson Bidlack had a pair of goals. Rhettick Bowers had a goal and an assit. Tyson scored a goal. Keenan Bowers and Bain Stegbauer both had an assist.
Quinn Tegenkamp picked up the shutout in goal. The Pirates had a 26-0 shots on goal advantage and a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Continental improves to 4-3-1 and will travel to Ottoville on Friday in a key Putnam County League game. Cory Rawson falls to 0-8.
