Deadline to Purchase 2022 Dog License Approaching

Don’t Harbor a Fugitive – License Your Pet!
The deadline to purchase your 2022 Putnam County Dog License without paying a penalty is fast approaching! The deadline is Monday January 31, 2022 to purchase a dog license before the license cost increases! ALL dogs over the age of 3 months are required to have a current dog license per State of Ohio Law section 955.21 of the Ohio Revised Code. Failure to purchase dog license could result in charges being filed and a day in court.
🐶 Dog license will be available at the Dog Shelter on Saturday January 29, 2022 from 9 am to Noon and again on Monday January 31, 2022 from 5 pm to 8 pm to give county residents a few extra chances to purchase dog license. Dog license are $16 per dog and only cash or check can be accepted at the dog shelter.
🦴 You may also purchase dog license online at www.co.putnam.oh.us and click “Online Dog Licensing”. When renewing dog license online, you will need your 2021 Putnam County Dog License number. The online company charges a processing fee. Dog license can be purchased at the Putnam County Auditor’s Office located on the 2nd Floor of the Courthouse. The Courthouse is open from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday. When purchasing dog license at the Auditor’s Office, only cash or check can be accepted. If you have any questions about dog license, please feel free to contact the Auditor’s Office at (419) 523-6686 and ask for Cheryl.
