Delores Marie Bauer passed away on Saturday, January 7,2017 at Birchaven Village. Delores was born on October 22, 1930, the daughter of Janetta and Frank DeWitt. She was a 1948 graduate of Continental High School.
Delores married Paul Bauer, Jr. on July 24,1950 and Paul passed away on December 17,1983. Together they had 8 children; Kathy (Ted) Mazza of Cypress, Texas; Anita (Stephen) Stanley of West Liberty, Ohio; Julie (Benie) Pursley of Findlay, Ohio; Deb (Jim) McBride of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Steven of Findlay, Ohio; Doug (Lisa) of Acworth, GA; Robert (Becca) of Fostoria, Ohio; and Laura (Scott) Harfield of Arcadia, Ohio. In addition she is survived by grandchildren Caroline, Heather, Tiffany, Jenny, Devin, Jack, Dakota, Shelby, Cassandra, Sarah, Paul, Joel, Lindsay, Zach, Chase, Clay, Kimberly, Tina, and Alec. And great- grandchildren Kahle, Ryder, Ella, Olivia, Carson, Paighton, Kenzington, Ella, Landon, Amon, Aliyah, Arnez, Paisley, Gabby, Mila, Brasen, Payton, Dalton, and one on the way, Paul. Delores is also survived by one sister, Louise(Gene) Witzeling of Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
In addition to being a homemaker, Delores worked as a secretary at Cory Rawson Middle School, Elder- Beerman, and El-bee Shoes. She was known for her love of family, her strong determination, and her beef and noodles and her applesauce were requested at every family get-together. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. In recent years she also became a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2016 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Armes Family Cancer Care Center, 15990 Medical Dr. S, Findlay, OH 45840.
