Denis Jacob Minch, 1936 – 2023

Denis Jacob Minch, age 86, of Findlay, peacefully passed away January 10, 2023 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria. He was born March 8, 1936, in Continental, Ohio to George and Dessa (Zimmerman) Minch. On February 23, 1973, Denis was united in marriage to Marlene (Balister) Minch.

Denis was a Continental High School graduate and attended Case Institute of Technology. He proudly served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany from 1958-1960. Denis happily retired from Phillips ECG in Ottawa after 32 years of service to enjoy his favorite hobbies which included fishing, hunting, and travelling.

Denis is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marlene; one son, Roderick Minch of Vancouver, Washington; and one grandson, Nolan Minch of Vancouver. He is also survived by two nephews, Keith Minch and Brent Minch, and one niece, Barbara Hubbel. Denis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Minch; and nephew, Steven Minch.

Friends and family may visit from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay (419-422-1500). A graveside service will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad performing full military rites. Memorial contributions in Denis’ name may be made to Parkinson Foundation of Northwest Ohio, 150 W. South Boundary, PBM #202, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 or Cancer Patient Services, 1800 N. Blanchard St., Suite 120, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.huffordfh.com.
