Lincolnview at 18-0 leads the Elida Boys Division IV basketball crowd. Only four other teams in the 13 team field have a winning record (Leipsic 11-4, Crestview 12-5, Miller City 10-6, and Kalida 9-8). There are 3 byes in this sectional so seeding will be important. This is the first time in a long time that all the Putnam County teams play in the same district with Columbus Grove 7-9, Continental 4-11, Fort Jennings 4-14, Pandora-Gilboa 4-11, and Ottoville 3-14 joining the field. The Green Meadows Conference is represented by Antwerp 8-9, Midwest Athletic Conference by Delphos St John’s 7-9, and Blanchard Valley Conference Cory-Rawson 3-12 round out the field.
The Elida Boys District will play sectional semifinal games at Van Wert and Ottawa-Glandorf February 23-24 with sectional final on February 26. The Elida Boys District Semifinals are on March 1 with the District Finals on March 4.
