
For the second year in a row Continental High Senior Catelyn Etter earned Putnam County League Second Team Honors. Etter led the Pirates in scoring with 239 points (12.8 PPG) and pulled down 191 rebounds (10.1 rpg) to average a double double every game. Etter is the Pirate Girls career leader in rebounds having surpassed 500 rebounds this year.
Senior Maddie Burke and Sophomore Bryn Tegenkamp were selected to the PCL Honorable list. Burke scored 197 (9.9 ppg) and pulled down 163 boards (8.9 rpg). Burke established a single game Pirate best with 24 rebound in a game in the season opener against Fostoria. Tegenkamp led the Pirates defensive effort with 76 steals (4.2 spg).
Nicole Knippen, Ottoville, took the PCL Player of the Year award. She was also the winner last year. The three co champs all claimed a girl on the first team to go along with Knippen were Grace Klausing (Kalida) and Kenzie King (Columbus Grove). Miller City’s Natalie Koenig and Abi Lammers earned the other two first team honors. Kalida Coach Adam Huber was the PCL coach of the year.
