For Our Readers Still Dealing With the Aftermath of Saturday’s Storm…..

April 2, 2023 by Adam Donaldson

We are thinking of our Palmer Township (North Creek) readers who are without power since Saturday’s early morning storm.  At this time, the estimated date for power restoration is Wednesday, April 5th at noon. Stay strong, check on your neighbors. The following is a Sunday, April 2nd @ 3:20pm update from Toledo Edison:

Dear Valued Customer,

Crews are working hard to assess damage and restore power after high winds and thunderstorms hit FirstEnergy’s entire service territory Saturday, knocking out power for more than 637,000 customers. There are thousands of damage locations with broken poles, downed wires, and fallen trees and debris blocking roads. In many areas, the damage is more significant than what we saw after last weekend’s storm.

We expect to restore power throughout the day today and into Monday, with outages in areas of Henry County where straight-line winds damaged nearly 70 transmission structures extending into Tuesday, April 4. See below for the many ways to stay informed throughout the restoration process.

We understand that power outages are inconvenient – and especially the challenges faced by those of you who were impacted by storms two weekends in a row. This is an all-hands-on-deck effort and we’ll be working 24/7 until service is restored to every customer. Thank you for hanging in there with us during this challenging time. Learn about our restoration process.
