In April 2016, the first Packs for Pirates were sent home as a weekend supplement for the K-6 children at the Continental Elementary School. This community organized program runs September through May – during the school year. The Free Christian Church of God stepped up and is offering a similar program, Packs with Prayers, for the summer to fill the gap of June through August. On Wednesdays at 11:00, rain or shine, all children in Grades K-6 are invited to the Continental Park for games, crafts, story time and a lunch. Take-home food packs are also available.
