Don’t forget to renew your 2024 Putnam County Dog License before January 31, 2024 to avoid a penalty! Dog license are only $16 per dog! Dog license can be obtained at the Auditor’s office in the Courthouse on the 2nd floor from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Cash or check can be accepted at the Auditor’s office.
You can also purchase dog license online at www.doglicenses.us/OH/Putnam.
Dog license will also be on sale at the Putnam County Dog Shelter on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 9 am – Noon and Wednesday January 31, 2024 from 5 pm – 7 pm. Cash or check accepted.
Dog license are required per State of Ohio Law for ALL dogs over the age of 3 months! If you have any questions about dog license, please call the Auditor’s office at (419) 523-6686.
If mailing in your dog license form – the envelope MUST be postmarked on January 31, 2024 or before! Even if you date your check before January 31 and the envelope is dated February 1 or after, it will be considered late! If you place the envelope in the mail drop off after hours on January 31, it will not be postmarked until the next day and will be considered late. There is a drop box located in the alley across the street from the Hickory Street entrance to the courthouse that you may also use.
